ACAPP will encompass an introduction to job readiness training and retention, Resume Writing and Critique, Practice Interviews, Dressing for Success, Budgeting, Reading, Vocabulary Increase and much more. Career/Education Counseling also included in ACAPP–Women that wish to continue their education are linked with higher educational institutions. This new and innovative program will also have a financial assistance component.
For individuals seeking entry into the radiologic sciences profession, we offer an entry-level bachelor of science degree with special emphasis leading to certification in one of five career specialties. No previous background in the radiologic sciences is required to enter any of these programs. Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification examination in their specific area of specialty (see Certification section below for additional details). All students in the department will do some level of online coursework. Typically, students in entry-level tracks take five to ten online courses over the five semesters
Graduates of this program are prepared to teach exceptional students whose learning needs require an individualized education plan (IEP). Graduates will instruct these students in the general education curriculum using specialized strategies that prepare them to participate in the statewide assessment process required of all P-12 public school students in Georgia.
Designed for those with an undergraduate degree in an approved field (English, History, Mathematics, or Science), our Master of Arts in Teaching program offers you an advanced graduate degree in teaching methodology for secondary learners, along with a route to secure your initial teaching certification at the T-5 level. Accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science, the Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science offers you the pathway in becoming a medical laboratory scientist (MLS), which is a profession currently in high demand. By applying knowledge learned from chemistry, math and biology, you will be able to use manual and automated techniques to provide data to physicians. Our program will give you the preparation needed to pass the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification exam successfully. We also offer you an online Career Ladder program that will enable you to advance your education.
With a degree in Respiratory Therapy, you will be ready to treat patients with heart and lung illnesses, as well as those with breathing difficulties. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC), our Bachelor of Science program will assist you in becoming involved in the treatment, diagnosis, rehabilitation and home care of patients with acute or chronic disease affecting the lung or cardiovascular system. As a graduate, you will be eligible for credentialing exams administered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
The nursing program of study is designed to prepare graduates with entry level nursing practice knowledge and skills upon which professional careers and additional study can be built. The baccalaureate nursing program emphasizes professional nursing practice and leadership skills.

Radiation Therapists deliver daily radiation treatments to cancer patients to ensure the treatments are accurately and safely administered. Radiation therapists must possess strong communication skills, be detail oriented, be able to work with all members of the oncology team and be comfortable using state-of-the-art technology.
MCSE certification is a passport to new, well paying careers in information technology—a field in which the demand for employees is greater than the supply. The graduates received certification upon completion of the intensive MCSE course, which meets four nights per week for six months
This degree provides a broad preparation in science and research, with an emphasis on physiology and rehabilitation. Electives can be selected that will enable the graduate to earn any of several academic minors or credentials, such as neuroscience, psychology, or gerontology. The Rehabilitation Science degree has also “been specifically designed by the physical therapy faculty to meet the needs of students” who wish to pursue graduate education in “the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy or sports medicine.”
Middle Grades Education program will prepare you in teaching these adolescent learners effectively and successfully in any two of the following areas: mathematics, social sciences, language arts, and science. You will come to learn pedagogical theories and practices to help confront and address issues in elementary or middle schools. By pursuing this Bachelor of Science degree, you will come to enhance your knowledge in evaluating, planning, and providing research-based effective learning experiences to all students in fourth through eighth grade.

For this Bachelor of Science in Education program, we offer you a noncertfication track in Child and Family Studies or the certification track, which leads to T-4 licensure for teaching preschool through fifth grade.
Community Employment Services offers individuals the opportunity to work in the community while receiving support and supervision from staff. These services include customized job development, individualized job placement, and on-going long term support. Prior to employment, individuals seeking community jobs are asked to participate in the Job Skills Workshop led by CES staff which covers the interview process, workplace conduct, problem-solving, and much more.
The respiratory care associate degree is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the field of respiratory care. Learning opportunities develop academic and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes specialized training in areas such as pulmonary and cardiac pharmacology, medical gases, humidity/aerosol therapy, positive pressure ventilation, incentive spirometry, patient assessment, postural drainage, percussion/vibration, assessment of diseases and conditions, critical respiratory care, advanced critical care monitoring, pulmonary function testing, and pediatric and neonatal respiratory care. Program graduates receive a respiratory care associate degree which qualifies them to take the examinations to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Students may become certified by taking the Entry Level Certification Examination administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Upon successful completion of the Certification (CRT) Exam, the graduate is eligible to take both parts of the Registry (RRT) Exams. To work in the state of Georgia, all respiratory care practitioners must apply and be granted a license. The only way to obtain a license is to pass at least the Entry Level Certification Exam.
The Automotive Technology Diploma program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for careers in the automotive service and repair profession. Learning opportunities enable students to develop academic, technical and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of automotive mechanics theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Auto Technology diploma that qualifies them as well rounded entry-level technicians.
