Evaluation

Summary

Evaluation is a critical component for the success of the initiative. Initially the Evaluation Team identified the W.K. Kellogg Foundation?s Logic Model as the tool to develop measurable short and long-term outcomes for the programs/response addressing each action step. Each of the action teams (housing, transportation, dependent care etc?) developed a logic model to identify the factors, assumptions, existing programs/activities, resources that will lead to service changes, people changes and ultimately long-term community change.

In addition the Evaluation Team has determined that in order to set long term measurements Community Indicators need to be agreed upon in order to measure outcomes and progress objectively. Community Indicators have a foundation in economic development where the data sets priorities for programs. In addition they are used to: Target funding, leverage additional resources, and power community coalitions.
